The Heartsaver AED course teaches basic techniques of adult
CPR and the use of an AED. Students also learn about using barrier
devises in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider- CPR

The CPR for Family and Friends course teaches rescuers skills

also presents information on the AHA pediatric infant and child
Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention
of sudden infant death syndrome, and prevention of the most common
fatal injuries in infants and children.

The EMT-Basic refresher training program meets or exceeds the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prerequisites for EMT certification/license renewal. The program follows the Department of Transportation (DOT) Refresher curriculum for Emergency Medical Technician – Basic. The curriculum includes all aspects of emergency medical care for the sick and injured. This program also meets or exceeds the program requirements for the National Registry.
The course is 24 hours in length and consists of both lecture and practical skills.
The course is broken down into modules, representing the 1994 US Department of Transportation National Standard curriculum.
