AED - Heartsaver (Defibrillator plus CPR)

The Heartsaver AED course teaches basic techniques of adult
CPR and the use of an AED. Students also learn about using barrier
devises in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches
how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attack, stroke,
cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.
:: BLS Healthcare Provider - CPR ONLINE
BLS HCP Online Part 1 offers a flexible CPR training option for healthcare professionals. This program recognizes that healthcare professionals enter the course with knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care.
How it works:
Part 1. Students complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, either at the workplace or anywhere with Internet access. When students finish the online portion, a certificate of completion will be available for them to print. The certificate is required to complete Part 2 with MECTA or MECTA South as the authorized American Heart Association Training Center.
Part 2. Students complete the skills validation test with one of our American Heart Association Instructors.
Upon successful completion of both parts, students will be issued a Nationally recognized American Heart Association BLS – Healthcare Provider Course Completion Card.

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider- CPR

The Healthcare Provider course is designed to teach
the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation
with a barrier devise, a bag-mask devise, and oxygen), use of an
automatic external defibrillator (AED) and relief of a foreign body
airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide
health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including
in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

CPR for Family and Friends

The CPR for Family and Friends course teaches rescuers skills
in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It presents
information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart
attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course
also presents information on the AHA pediatric infant and child
Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention
of sudden infant death syndrome, and prevention of the most common
fatal injuries in infants and children.

The Heartsaver CPR course teaches lay rescuers how to recognize
and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest
and choking for adult, child, and infant victims. Students also
learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke

Emergency Oxygen Administration
